Tungsten sole weight was new for 2000, the Pure Spin Driver. This
redistributes club head weight for true launch angles. with a large
sweet spot and lower center of gravity, it was dubbed one of the easiest
clubs to hit.
The club has a ribbon of raised titanium wraps around the back of the
driver, which creates the deeper center of gravity.
The Double XX straight shaft minimizes shaft torque, squaring the club
face.
A smaller head of more traditional size measuring in at 260CC with a

shaft. Loft is 10°
The PureSpinTM Driver features a larger clubhead technology, which
redistributes club head weight for true launch angles. Now with its
larger sweet spot and lower center of gravity, the PureSpin'sTM Driver
is one of the easiest drivers to hit right off the fairway.
An 18-gram ribbon of titanium wraps around the back of the PureSpin'sTM
Driver, creating a deeper center of gravity - for superior power and
feel.
The PureSpinTM Driver features a classic look and shape. Its slightly
oversized size - 260 cc - provides a massive sweet spot for improved
playability and forgiveness.
SHAFT DESIGN
The PureSpinTMGolf's R&D team has come up with the true innovations in
shaft design. Three years in the making, the new Taperless Straight
Shaft is the only composite shaft in golf with The "Recovery MemoryTM."
This unique performance characteristic improves the manner in which the
shaft stores energy... and how and when it releases that energy. It's
truely the most intelligent and most accurate shaft in golf. Here's why:
.
Another drawback to narrow, tapered tip graphite shafts is that they
allow the club head to buckle and recoil upon impact, losing precious
energy and impairing accuracy. No other shaft controls torque and
maintains stability at impact like the EXTRA-WIDE Taperless Straight
Shaft.
The top teaching pro's agree that "squaring the club face" through the
hitting zone is key to straighter shots. The Taperless Straight Shaft's
squares the ultra-strong club face sooner in the down swing than the
tapered-tip graphite shafts. This superior stability enables golfers -
even those with aggressive swings - to get the distance of graphite
without sacrificing accuracy.
The EXTRA-WIDE tip design (.590) is 76% wider than most tapered tip
shafts. The Taperless Straight Shaft provides greater stability and less
torque at impact. And an added band of fibers, which are 10 times
stronger than graphite, squares the club sooner in the downswing and
keeps it square through the hitting zone - for longer, straighter and
more solid shots. |
