TaylorMade Launch Control (TLC) cartridges are strategically positioned
low and at the club head's perimeter to make it easier to launch the
ball high and long
Center of gravity is positioned to promote a neutral ball flight
bias
Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the club's COR zone
for higher average ball speed and consistently longer shots
Engineered with a classically shaped head that sits powerfully and
squarely behind the ball at address
TLC cartridges are permanently installed at the rear of the club
head
The weight of the dual TLC cartridges and the manner in which they
are spaced apart significantly increases the MOI, resulting in added
forgiveness
TaylorMade TGT grip is formulated from a special high-traction
compound for all-weather traction
Features M.A.S.2 60 Graphite Shaft; a high-performance shaft finely
tuned to deliver the clubface squarely to the ball
Soft tip shaft promotes a neutral, controllable, straight and long
ball flight
The r5 dual fairway woods combine a high COR for fast ball speed with a
low, deep center of gravity. Together, these features make it easy to
hit the ball on a fast, high, long carrying ball flight that maximizes
distance.
The TLC cartridges are pre configured because TaylorMade engineers know
best how to configure the cartridges to achieve a high, long ball flight
with a fairway wood, and so have taken the worry out of it for players
that prefer not to change cartridges themselves. IN addition, player
testing indicated that golfers prefer that the cartridges be permanent
in their fairway wood.
The TLC cartridges are strategically located an weighted to increase the
club head's MOI, and to position the center of gravity (CG) both low and
deep. That increases the club head's forgiveness, and also makes it easy
to launch the ball smoothly and cleanly from a variety of lies on a
straight, high and long carrying ball flight.
